Photography: A Fabulous Hobby

You might have heard the proverbs, “A pen is mightier than a sword” and “A picture is worth a thousand words”. Combining the two proverbs, we can derive the new proverb, on a lighter note. But, please do not take the essence of the proverb lightly. If you are interested in photography, then, you will know what I am talking about. And all of us have an artist in us and are spell bound when we see a beautiful picture or a painting or a fine piece of art.
The beauty of a photograph when compared to a moving picture is that the photograph does not give you any clue about what has happened in the past or what will happen in the future, since they give you a snapshot of time. Yet, the photographs provide all the information to the beholder to imagine the past and future events of a photograph. So, photography is a great hobby to take. It can give you enough piece of mind, as you will have to travel and meet new people to take amazing and breath-taking pictures. When I was a kid, I used to have a small camera that I used to carry around all the time and clicked whatever I thought was beautiful to my little eyes. Photography is gave immense pleasure to me then and now as well.
If you want to become an expert photographer, then, you need to know how to use different camera accessories effectively. Having thorough knowledge of the accessories like lens, tripod, slide copier, etc… can differentiate you as a professional photographer from an amateur.
Photography is not just an art. It has become part of the science as well. For example, in forensic science the photography is used in crime scene investigations and is integral part of the investigation. Also, to find life on other planets NASA has spent millions of dollars to send a probe to these planets and the probes have taken amazing pictures of the planets and sent them back to earth. Hence, a hobby can bring you the opportunity to earn money as well if you are serious and take it up as a profession.
